Wood Show

The other thing Wayne has been really big into lately is his shop. He has the garage in the back all set up for a wood shop. Back in June we bought him a table saw which is still in the box. That really isn't his fault. He had a really busy summer and then he hurt his leg. That has been really hard on him not to be out there working in the shop. I think it is his stress reliever. I will love it when he gets it up and going. I am going to get really cool things made. But back to the start of the story. We went this weekend up to a wood show. It was really cool and the things people can make was amazing. There was a booth that you can make your own pen. Wayne talked me into trying it. I had a great time and made a really cool pen. There was this really nice old guy who told me how to do it and then left. Wayne was in the background helping me make it too. I had so much fun. It is something that i could totally see myself doing in the future. It is alot of fun. Wayne was really cute and took lots of pictures. I love him so much. I am really proud of my pen I have shown everyone I can.

My Fish Tank

So I have been walking around pet stores with Wayne lately. He has really had his head set on having a huge fish tank. It has made me want to get one at work with a beta. I find betas beautiful. So one day while I was at work I took Carrie with me and we bought a fish tank. It was about a gallon. When I told Wayne what I did he was happy for me. But I guess I didn't get the best one out there. So about 2 weeks later he has bought me a 3 gallon tank. A girl at work gave me her beta so I could take care of it. She named him Bill and has had him for about 8 months. I have one plant and and would like one more. Plus Wayne bought me something called Java moss that will grow on the top of my rock. It is going to look so great. A guy at work who is really into fish has been giving me pointers. He said that i could get some frogs and they won't fight. I am still trying to get the tank set up to look good before i buy anymore fish. You can see Bill. He is up in the left by the filter. He is bright blue. I have actually grew my plant from a bulb it is really getting big.

Walking is Great!!!

Wayne just starting walking this week and today he graduated into a shoe. He has a little bit of a limp but he is doing so well. He lost a lot of muscle in his left leg but with time he should be able to gain it back. I feel like a proud parent. Yes my husband just started walking. Isn't it so cute.

Sunrise Can Make You Feel Better

I got up early yeasterday to take Wayne to school. I walked out before he was ready and saw this amazing sunrise. It was so beautiful that I wanted to share. I actually had a long day but this really made it worth getting out of bed. I hope you enjoy.

My Columbus Day Activity

I was grounded to my house most of today because I didn't do my homework. It is due tomorrow and so I had to get it done. When Wayne come home from school around 3:00. His mother called us and wanted to know if we wanted to attended the 3rd annual pumpkin picking trip. It is a lot of fun to go out and pick pumpkins. We walk thru a field looking for the cutes pumpkins. Wayne was looking for pumpkins that are big while I was going for the perfect around ones. I found two really cool ones and Wayne found the big one. Rose came out with us but didn't pick one out because Derek loves to go to. So she walked around with us but was going to go back tonight with Derek. Last year we bought 3 and sat them out with the plan that we were going to carver them. We ended up throwing them away in January when they were all covered in ice. This year we hope to get them carved. I will post pictures if we actually get around to doing it.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO WAYNE

Happy birthday to Wayne!!! Yesterday we had a full day. Wayne had drill on his birthday the poor boy. I got to go to church and afterwards we went to Mom and Richards. A couple of Wayne brothers and sisters came over. We had dinner then presents. Thank you Crystal for making Wayne's cake. I did get Wayne some gift. We have been looking at aquariums for the last couple months. He never really decided which one he really wanted. So i decided he was going to get on one so i didn't have to look at them anymore and two he would have no idea what he was getting for a present. He is wanting to do a planted fish tank with a couple tetras and angel fish so far. I bought him a 50 gallon tank. I think we are going to take it back and his going to end up getting a 75 gallon tank. I am a little worried I am going to have a fish tank wall in my little apartment. One of the shirts here is a youth shirt and I am going to have to take it back and get him a diiferent shirt. Here is a picture of all of Wayne's presents. My New Bike

I actually hurt my foot before Wayne decided to do one better than me. I went to the doctor the Thursday before the run down the stairs event in our life. I had been out running the week before and hurt the arch in my foot. It just wasn't getting any better. I guess i have something called Plantar Fasciitis. So i cant run for 3 months which has been really hard on me. Because running has become my stress reducer. I can ride a bike. Wayne has been great about the whole thing. We last week went out and bought and exercise bike. My dad and I carried it down the stairs. While I cook dinner Wayne and my dad put it together. Since Wayne put it together I have been riding on it every night. I can really tell a difference in my stress level. It is really going down. The doctor is now telling Wayne he should get on and ride the bike now with his ankle getting better. So we will now have to take turns. Here is my new bike.

Our New Couch

So after 8 years of marriage we decided it was time to invest in a new couch. For those who don't remember we go our first couch from a friend when we were first married. It was a couch and love seat set and they were great. I think they got it from someone and we we were at least the third family to love that set. It made it thru 4 moves and 3 years in storage. We knew we needed a new set when we moved into this apartment. You would sit down on our old one and your legs would be a sleep from the bar in front in a matter of minutes. After 3 months of shopping on and off we finally found one that we loved. We bought it on the spot on Friday night. We went home to make sure it would fit down the stairs and then planned to pick it up on Saturday. We made it home found out that it wouldn't fit. So we back out shopping on Saturday for a couch again. We found the one that is perfect for our house. We talked Derek and Rose into helping us get our old couch out and the new ones in. Thank you Rose and Derek!! A day later we realized the new one had problems with the arm. Now with a lot of other problems that went into it we finally got them to replace it. On Wednesday we will be getting another new couch but it will look the same just better put together hopefully.
